Albert has been a huge pain to the Redskins since they gave him an enormous contract last offseason. New reports suggest he’s lost some 30 lbs in preparation for training camp. Congrats you’ve pissed off your organization and the entire Redskins’ fanbase so you can workout at home instead of with your teammates. On the otherhand new Redskins QB Donovan McNabb is holding a hell week workout extravaganza during the team’s rest week before camp for him and the receiving corp. I’m glad we have such a tight committed group. Can’t wait to see Fat Al’s new fitness tested at camp. I predict alot of wheezing and crying from Mr. Haynesworth.
Sorry I haven’t posted in forever, been watching too much world cup, enjoy this video
“USC has produced four NFL Hall of Fame players during this 30-year time frame. Miami has produced just two Hall of Famers. USC has produced 42 first-team All-Pros, Miami 31. Is this all about the past? Well, no. USC has produced 42 NFL draft picks over the five drafts from 2005-2009. Miami produced 23. You must respect Miami’s NFL legacy. But clearly USC is alone at the top.” – ESPN

So I know this is VERY early, but considering that I can no longer enjoy hockey (REALLY CAPS? YOU DROP 3 STRAIGHT TO THE CANADIENS? COME ON!!!!!) and that the world cup doesn’t start for another month I’ve decided to write about the NFL. Here’s how I think it’ll shape up this year. I maintain the right to change my opinions at anytime.
AFC EAST
1) New York Jets – The Jets are stacked. They’re my early favorite to win the entire AFC. Rex Ryan’s team was already extremely formidable before adding former Superbowl MVP Santonio Holmes. Even after losing Faneca there isn’t a position on the team I see as weak. Every single spot is solid. Also QBs simply cannot throw on them. The Jets secondary is far too good. This team has so much energy and raw talent. Sanchez is only going to get better with some new shiny toys to throw to.
2) New England Patriots – I really wanted to put the Dolphins here because I think they’re very good, but I can’t deny the Patriots the respect they rightfully deserve. The Pats are always going to be contenders with Brady and Bill Belichick. They have a ton of young talent and could make a big push.
3) Miami Dolphins – I like alot of the moves the Dolphins have been making the past few years since their abysmal 1-15 season. Bill Parcells has really changed the organization and I can only see them getting better especially with the addition of Brandon Marshall. I don’t think they’re quite there yet, but in a year or two they’ll be legitimate contenders for the AFC East crown.
Never thought I’d be doing another Lawrence Taylor post so soon. After writing about his incredibly veteran drinking skills I stumbled upon this news today
Lawrence Taylor Rape Arrest
Really Taylor? You’re one of the best NFL players EVER and you have to go hook up with a 15 year old prostitute? Really? Come on man! Couldn’t you just become an sports anchor or retire to Barbados like other former stars? Taylor is becoming the next OJ and God knows no one wants that! For Shame LT!
Living in LA I’ve met my fair share of die hard Lakers fans. That being said I’ve never seen someone this devoted. This video is hilarious.
